Mechanical engineering in Rhineland-Palatinate: Declining sales and poor prospects
18.03.2020 In December 2019, there was a slight increase in new orders in Germany, resulting in a cumulative decline of almost 4 percent for 2019 compared with the same period of the previous year. Incoming orders from abroad fluctuated even more strongly than domestic orders, but the overall balance is still significantly worse at -12.2 percent for 2020.
Only the euro zone is doing well in Saarland mechanical engineering, but the outlook is bleak
16.03.2020 In 2019, incoming orders will decline by a total of 7.9 percent, mainly due to domestic orders, while foreign orders will only fall by 1.9 percent. The outlook therefore remains cautious.
125 years VDMA: Launch of the VDMA Series of Events - Parliamentary Evening in Hesse
23.03.2017 The VDMA has launched a series of events to celebrate its 125th anniversary. On March 22, the Regional Subsidiary Central participated in the traditional “Politicians Reception” of the Vereinigung der hessischen Unternehmerverbände (VhU, Federation of Hessian Employers Associations), which took place at the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden. Around 180 guests from politics, business and society were present, including Hesse’s Minister President, Volker Bouffier, and several members of his cabinet.
